CMIT-TelUPay Signs PILOT Agreement for CARDBank's Mobile Financial System


CARD MRI Information Technology, Inc. (CMIT), the IT company of the CARD MRI Group of Companies, has recently signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with TelUPay for the Pilot Program for CARDBank's Mobile Financial System.


The MOA allows CMIT to provide the TelUPay-developed Mobile Financial System (MFS) to about 16,000 accountholders of CARDBank in the Southern Tagalog Region of CALABARZON. The MFS will give accountholders the capability to do financial transactions through their mobile phones such as, balance inquiry, payment of their loans, cash-in and cash-out services, buy airtime load (e-load) for their mobile phones and fund transfers to their enrolled accounts.


This unique requirement of the CARD MRI Group, when commercially rolled out nationwide will cover the Mobile Financial Service requirement of about 173,000 account holders in the region by year's end and to about 900,000 nationwide in two years.


The milestone contract signing was held last February 26, 2014 at the offices of Puyat-Jacinto-Santos (PJS LAW) in Ayala Avenue, Makati City. Present during the event were CMIT President - Edgar V. Ocampo, Business Development Manager TelUPay Philippines – Guiller "Bong" Evite, and TelUPay Senior Project Manager – Glenn Anthony Losentes.
